FRP Pipes – Key Advantages

FRP pipe is a high‑performance new composite pipe, outperforming traditional metal, concrete and plastic pipes comprehensively.

1. Superior Water & Corrosion Resistance

Scientific resin selection and optimized liner lay‑up design ensure excellent waterproof, anti‑seepage and chemical‑resistant properties, resisting acids, alkalis, salts and wastewater.

2. High Mechanical Strength & Impact Resistance

Tensile strength is lower than steel pipes but higher than ductile iron and concrete pipes. Its specific strength is 3× that of steel, 10× of ductile iron, 25× of concrete pipes. Tensile strength ≥320 MPa. High impact resistance: 1.5 kg drop weight at 1600 mm height with no damage.

3. Wide Temperature Adaptability

Standard FRP pipes operate steadily from -40 ℃ to 70 ℃. With heat‑resistant resin, they can run long‑term at 120 ℃ while maintaining stable mechanical performance.

4. Lightweight & Easy Transportation & Installation

Specific gravity is only 1/4–1/5 of steel/iron pipes and 2/3 of concrete pipes. Weight is 1/4 of ductile iron pipes and 1/10 of concrete pipes in the same size. Reduces construction labor and cost greatly.

Multiple reliable connection methods available. Tight sealing, anti‑leakage, anti‑settlement and anti‑seismic performance, stable operation under complex geological conditions.

Ultra‑smooth inner surface reduces fluid resistance significantly. Higher flow capacity than traditional pipes under the same diameter, saving pumping energy consumption.
